Healthcare professionals can now join a cohort for Advanced Daily Management

Course Cadence: 1st week of February, 1st week of May, 2nd week of July & 2nd week of September.

Turn daily operations into a powerful engine for continuous improvement. Over this eight-week program, learners experience a synthesis of the most relevant concepts in advanced daily management with tasks and topics tailored to the needs of frontline and operations leaders. With practical examples and weekly application exercises, learners will be poised to make an immediate difference in their teams.

This program is intentionally designed for healthcare professionals, and rooted in the LEAP model. LEAP (Learn, Experience, Apply, Perform) emphasizes experiential learning and hands-on training, allowing participants to engage deeply with the material and develop a deep understanding of the concepts. Course Format & Delivery Model

This course is a hybrid cohort-based delivery model, delivered over 8 weeks to allow learners to Learn, Experience, Apply and Perform. Learning is delivered on demand via computer-based learning modules, with live virtual coaching and support. Participants will have approximately 40 hours of learning time. An ideal cohort has 10-20 members; up to 30 can be accommodated.

Learning Outcomes

Advanced Daily Management will develop learners’ advanced intellectual and professional skills and provide them with the ability to:

  • Identify and address wastes within their area of responsibility.
  • Conduct PDSA rapid learning cycles in team settings with a variety of daily management tools and strategies.
  • Understand supply and demand in a healthcare team setting and produce a visual management board to track and communicate these elements.
  • Identify and communicate abnormalities and their root causes, as well as opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish daily huddle and rounding routines to engage with team members, address challenges, and capture improvement opportunities.
  • Foster problem framing skills and practice effective coaching in a team setting
    to improve idea generation to further daily improvement.
  • Reflect on, and communicate, personal and professional growth.
